THE SHED OPENING TIMES:

Thursday – Saturday – 9am – 11pm
Sunday (including bank holidays) – 10am – 10pm

From 2021 a new exciting town centre will begin to be delivered, with something to discover for everyone.

Our vision for the town centre is to create a bold and inviting destination that welcomes innovation and inclusion and embraces its local heritage and natural environment. Elements of the town centre are already starting to take shape with the recent opening of the Everyone Active leisure centre with six-lane swimming pool and fitness centre, as well as the opening of a new market and local hub called The Shed and its dedicated performance space, The Cube.

And there’s even more to come; there’ll be the entertainment and retail at the site of what was once the Sergeants Mess, a drive-in cinema and art installation at the Sandhurst Block, and further leisure, health and retail services and offers in the pipeline. There will be new shops, cafes, office space, landscaped squares and a park, ensuring that the town centre will be a place not just to shop and eat, but a place to meet and spend some time.

The new town centre will be at the heart of the transformation of Whitehill & Bordon as a sustainable green, healthy and connected town. It will be a place to be immersed in retail, leisure and wellbeing amenities, as well as offering 150 hectares of green space at Hogmoor Inclosure and Bordon Inclosure. Getting in and out of the town centre will be easy too with enhanced transport options to surrounding areas. New roads will and car parking will be integral to this with spaces designed into the new buildings. Please click here for more details about the plans and what’s on offer.

The Shed

The new market in Whitehill & Bordon town centre opens in May 2021. The Shed is a unique, authentic shared experience in Whitehill & Bordon, offering artisan treats, home-cooked meals, arts & crafts, creative workspaces and the best local entertainment. It is a vibrant space where shopping is social and produce is local.

Visitors are spoilt for choice with food, beverage and retail at The Shed. There’s Thai and Japanese cuisine from Siam Oishi, Mexican food from Hermanos Tacos and deliciously dirty burgers from Boigers, followed by locally churned ice cream from Dylan’s Ice cream or luxurious pastries from Crane Patisserie. And that’s just the food – there’s fresh juices and cocktails from The Mixing Jug and draught beers, wine and spirits from The Shed’s micro-brewery, not to mention a deli-shop, bike specialists Cycle Sphere, arts and crafts at The Crafty Shed, and eco-friendly zero-waste shop FillUp.

All can be enjoyed while watching local entertainment at The Shed’s very own performance space, The Cube – the sister venue to The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre. It benefits from all of The Phoenix’s experience and links to talent and, like every younger sibling, brings a fresh new twist to proceedings. Their events list aims to get you thinking outside the box, with a belly-busting Comedy Club and locally-sourced live music, unique theatre events and much, much more.
