A PLACE TO
Elements of the town centre are already starting to take shape with the opening of the Everyone Active Leisure Centre including a six-lane swimming pool and fitness centre, as well as the opening of a local hub called The Shed and its dedicated performance space, The Cube. Ticket outdoor cinema is now open, set in front of a stunning art installation on the Sandhurst Block.
There will be the entertainment and retail space โThe Mess Hallโ which sits adjacent to the Town Park at the site of what was once the Sergeants Mess and further leisure, health and retail services and offers in the pipeline.
As well as new shops, cafes, office space and landscaped squares, ensuring that the town centre will be a place not just to shop and eat, but a place to meet and spend some time.
The new town centre will be at the heart of the transformation of Whitehill & Bordon as a sustainable green, healthy and connected town. It will be a place to be immersed in retail, leisure and wellbeing amenities, as well as offering 150 hectares of green space in Hogmoor Inclosure and in Bordon Inclosure.
Getting in and out of the town centre will be easy too with enhanced transport options to surrounding areas. New roads and car parking will be integral to this, with spaces designed into the new buildings.
There are plenty of car parks to use in and around the development.
The drive-in cinema is situated in the heart of the town in front of the Sandhurst Block, the former main battalion building.
