25 June 2021 By Amelia Davis

What’s on at The Shed

It’s all happening at The Shed. We’ve got a great list of upcoming events to interest, inspire and entertain you over the coming weeks. From talks at The Cube, singers in the Town Park and markets in Market Square, there’s so much to discover at The Shed.

24 June: A Midsummer Night’s Dream @The Town Park 7-8pm

Four professional actors deliver an exciting, engaging and energetic piece of theatre in 40 minutes.

To commemorate the date, we’ll be linking with 440 theatres that will be performing Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Midsummer’s evening. Our event, in a new, beautifully landscaped town park, brings The Bard to Bordon. Food and drink will be available to purchase in the Shed. Bring a picnic blanket, sit back and enjoy the show.

25 June: ACM Showcase @The Cube 7-10pm

If there’s one thing we’ve missed during lockdown, it’s live music. We’re delighted to announce our first live music event will be taking place at The Cube on Friday 25 June.

We have several students from ACM (The Academy of Contemporary Music) in Guildford, who will be performing throughout the evening. So come along, grab a beer from The Shed and join us for a summer’s evening of good music and good vibes.

26 June: The Hogmoor Troll @The Cube 11-11:30am

Produced by 440Theatre, The Hogmoor Troll is a delight for the whole family.

Come and discover the secret of The Hogmoor Troll in an exciting adventure exclusively at The Shed. Full of music, mystery and mayhem The Hogmoor Troll is perfect for children and adults alike, whether you’re aged from three to 103.

26 June: Brian Wood @The Cube (Sold Out) 7:30-9pm

This sold out show explores the life and trials of Brian Wood. At the age of 23, local man Brian Wood was thrust into the front line in Iraq. Ambushed, he led a bayonet charge across open ground with at least 20 insurgents firing at just five soldiers. On his return, he was awarded the Military Cross. A tale of two halves, tonight’s show explores Brian’s story as he struggled to reintegrate back into family life, suffered PTSD and answer allegations of war crimes against British soldiers.

We’re looking into new dates for Brian Wood to return, so keep an eye on our events page to make sure you don’t miss out.

30 June: Meg Allin @The Cube 12-1pm

Local Greenpeace speaker, Meg Allin will present and discuss ‘The Impact of Plastic’ and how we as a community can reduce, reuse and recycle.

Enjoy a working lunch break at The Shed.

03 July: The Hogmoor Troll @The Cube 11-11:30am

Another chance to follow The Hogmoor Troll on a mystery adventure.

04 July: Sunday Vegan Market with Ethical Vegan Events 10:30am-3:30pm

For vegans and non-vegans alike, this Sunday Market is for those looking to enjoy the best things in life, sustainably. From take-away food and drink, hand-made products and local produce, this market will become a staple in your diary month in, month out.

10 July: The Shed Summer Social – All day long

We’re planning a sizzling day of summer festivities on 10 July at The Shed. Sign up to The Shed’s newsletter on our website to receive news about the planned Shed Summer Social on 10 July as details are confirmed.

Please note all plans after 21 June are subject to the governmental Covid guidelines. Click here for more information and follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see what we’re up to.
