Parking FAQs

Below is information on parking in Whitehill and Bordon town centres. Click on the + signs to read the answers.

When do I have to pay for parking?

If you park for less than two hours, you can just drive out of the car park, the ANPR system will register your exit for you. If close to 2 hours, or more than two hours, enter your registration to check, and pay as required.

How much does it cost to park?

The parking charges are as follows:

Where does the money go when we pay for parking?

Payments are processed by ECP and the agreed fees after processing costs are transferred to WBRC, to assist in the maintenance of the new Town Centre Facilities, like security, CCTV, the park/play park, litter collection, grounds maintenance, etc.

I have been longer than 2 hours, will I get a parking ticket?

No, these are “Pay on Exit”, car parks, so just pay for your additional time before leaving the car park.

I’m worried about not having to display a ticket in my car at your ticketless car parks. How do you know I’ve paid?

Customers pay at the end of their stay so there is no need to pay for parking in advance. We record your Vehicle Registration when you arrive, by entering your cars registration number to pay, we know you have ended your visit, and paid.

What payment methods are available at ticketless car parks?

Payment can be made at the pay machine(s) on site using a bank or credit card or via the ECPparkingbuddy APP (APP coming soon).  By entering your cars registration number, the ANPR system will confirm the tariff due, which aligns with the time your vehicle has been in the car park.

I only have cash to pay with how shall I pay?

It’s not possible to pay with cash, the first 2 hours are free but any other time over this will require payment via the pay machine or APP (APP coming soon) there will also be a phone line for payments but this is linked to the APP and will be card payments only.

I paid on the equipment and left the car park, will I get confirmation of the payment / receipt?

Customer will have an option to request receipt at the machine while payment is being made.

Where is parking for the SHED?

Parking is available as shown on the parking plan.

I have a Blue Badge; do I have to pay to Park?

No, Blue Badge holders get free parking, they can either scan their Blue Badge at the payment kiosk for that parking session, or register on the https://www.princephilippark.co.uk/town-centre/parking/ web page.  Once you register you will receive a confirmation email, please keep a copy of the email safe, just in case you are inadvertently sent a parking ticket, called a “Parking Charge Notices” (PCN), the email will make it very simple to cancel the parking ticket.  For problems registering, please call 01420 554888.

Are there any parent and child parking bays?

Yes, some of the Disabled Bays on the parade square are designated/shared with Parent and Child.

If I use the Leisure Centre, what happens if I am there more than 2 hours?

Leisure Centre patrons (Members and casual users) get free parking for the time they are in the Leisure Centre, by booking their vehicle into the car parking kiosk installed at reception.

Can I park in the Leisure Centre Car Park for free, using my “Anytime Active membership” and not visit the Leisure Centre?

No, the “Anytime Active membership” provides free parking for when you use the Leisure Centre, by entering your Registration in the Leisure Centre kiosk.

Can I park overnight?

Yes, the charge from 22:00 to 08:00 is £2.00.

When would I get a parking ticket?

Parking tickets are officially called, “Parking Charge Notices” (PCN) and are issued if the applicable fee is not paid for parking.

Can I Park for an additional 2 hours free if I move my car from one car park (Leisure Centre, Woodland, Parade Square) to another?

No, the systems are all linked and you will incur a PCN.

Do the food outlets in THE SHED provide any discounts on parking?

No, they currently do not offer any parking discounts.

How much is a parking ticket?

PCNs are £100 or £60 if paid within 14 days.

What happens to the parking charge notice if I appeal?

Your Parking Charge Notice (PCN) will be put on hold from the date we receive your appeal.

Is there a car washing service when I park?

No, we do not have the utilities in place yet, to enable a car washing service, but this may change in the next build phase over the next 2-3 years.

What do I do if I think I’ve been over charged?

Contact ECP.

Do I need to be registered with you to park at your ticketless car parks?

No, the machines do not require pre-registration, the vehicle number plate recognition system will record your arrival and departure.

When I enter my registration number it’s not shown on the equipment what do I do?

There will be a honesty facility for customer to enter their approximate time of entry.

Do I need to be registered with you to park at your ticketless car parks?

No, the machines do not require pre-registration.
