Summer fun at BOSC pavilion
The Bordon and Oakhanger Sports Club (BOSC) is hosting a variety of activities for the community throughout August.
The events include:
• Children’s Summer Holiday Club, Tuesday 30 July – Thursday 1 August, 10am – 2pm each day
• Cricket match with Headley CC 3rd XI vs Midhurst II, Saturday 3 August, from 1pm
• Sunday Car and Bike Meet, Sunday 11 August, 10am – 1pm
• Cricket match with Headley CC 3rd XI vs Bramley II, Saturday 17 August, from 1pm
• Cricket match with Headley CC 3rd XI vs Tilford III, Saturday 31 August, from 1pm
Children can enjoy the start of their school holidays at a Summer Holiday Club, held in conjunction with Beacon Church. Taking place between Tuesday 30 July and Thursday 1 August, 10am – 2pm, children aged five to 11 can take part in sports, crafts, activities, music and games. Places are priced at £5 per child, and spaces are limited, so booking is essential.
On Saturday 3, 17 and 31 August, from 1pm, BOSC will play host to Headley Cricket Club’s 3rd XI. The team have won seven of the twelve games they have played this season so far, and currently sit second in the league.
The popular Sunday Car and Bike Meet will return to BOSC on Sunday 11 July, 10am – 1pm. Car and bike owners are invited to bring their vehicles for visitors to look at and find out more information. These events are very popular, and not one to miss for car and bike enthusiasts. Refreshments are available in the pavilion.
Samuel Metcalfe, manager at BOSC, said:
“Summer is in full swing at BOSC. We are delighted to announce an August calendar packed with community favourites, as well as the summer club for children to come along and have fun at the start of their school holidays. Alongside these events, BOSC also offers the local community a place to play outdoor tennis, a children’s playground, Petanque, and a summer menu of great food and drink.”
