Following feedback from local Councillors and the general public, due to prior
arrangements, The Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company has set a revised
new date for the public ‘Question Time’ consultation of 6.00pm Tuesday, 16th April at the Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre.
The primary objective of the Question Time forums is to inform and share information on the progress of the regeneration project, in particular on the town centre, housebuilding and wider services and amenities fronts. Currently the status of some key items are within contractual and planning processes. Until these are more advanced it is difficult make any further announcements.
The Health Hub planning application was submitted at the end of last year and has currently just completed its formal East Hampshire District Council consultation period and we thank everyone who has engaged in that process. The next action is that the feedback will be reviewed and considered by the Council and we can report on progress at the planned April Question Time.
We are also currently in the contractual process of securing a long-term supermarket operator for the town centre food store which fulfils the aspirations of the whole town. The sensitive commercial legal agreements are well advanced and we look forward to sharing exciting news as soon as we are able.
Housebuilding continues on projects already in progress, but as indicated further sites to bring forward continue to be under review.
We appreciate the disappointment from rescheduling Question Time, but we look forward to meeting people on the 16th April as we remain committed to sharing updates and progress on the development. We welcome the understanding and continued support from the community as we strive towards delivering a thriving and inclusive town.
If you cannot attend the meeting, please send through any questions to community@wbrcompany.co.uk
