Public consultation on Linear Park and development of land off Budds Lane

A community consultation about plans for the new Linear Park and land behind the Whitehill & Bordon skate park on Budds Lane, is being held on Tuesday 27 November at the Bordon and Oakhanger Sports Club.

Taking place between 4:30pm and 7pm, the public will be able to view a selection of exhibition boards showcasing the plans for the new Linear Park and the land behind the skate park off Budds Lane – parcel 3.8.

Linear Park will consist of informal open space and natural green spaces of around 4.5 hectares, forming the spine of the development.

A link from the new town centre to the Linear Park and Hogmoor Inclosure will provide access to green open spaces and leisure activities, as well as safe and attractive routes through the new community. The park is expected to be delivered in 2023, and attractions will include ballgames, outdoor shows, walking, picnic spots, coloured flower carpets and play area.

Plans for parcel 3.8 include the delivery of car parking for skate park users, a collection of 135 sustainable new homes by developer Zero C, a youth cafe and a new building for Beacon Church. Work is to begin on site in February 2019.

Representatives from the Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company will be available to discuss the plans and answers questions.
