Make time to relax
Take advantage of relaxation workshops coming to Whitehill and Bordon by trained meditator Louise Watson from September.
The workshops give attendees a chance to try around four different types of meditation. There will be some pair work and group discussion on what meditation is and isn’t, as well as some short talks on the benefits of meditation and the scientific evidence to support these claims.
Louise will also look at ways of overcoming difficulties in establishing a daily practice and how we can incorporate meditation into our daily lives.
Commenting on the introduction of the relaxation workshops, Naomi Metcalfe, community development officer at Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company, says:
“As a designated NHS Healthy New Town, we are keen to introduce new ways of promoting healthy living and wellbeing for the Whitehill & Bordon community. Giving opportunities for people like Louise to provide this type of wellbeing activity is very important to us and we are delighted Louise will be holding workshops in September, October and November.”
The first relaxation workshop will take place on Friday 15 September at Mustangs on Budds Lane. Those interested in signing up for the workshop can do so by phoning 01420 489 060.
