First Homebuyers Move in at Prince Philip Park

A young family have become the first homeowner occupiers at Prince Philip Park in Whitehill & Bordon, purchasing a house at Taylor Wimpey’s Dukes Quarter development.

Moving from Aldershot to Whitehill & Bordon, Mr and Mrs Julier and their two children, are looking forward to enjoying Hogmoor Inclosure nearby, BOSC and the other facilities in the local vicinity. The couple were presented with a bottle of champagne when they moved in.

Talking about why they chose to buy a new home at Dukes Quarter, Mrs Julier said: “After initially viewing the new homes at Dukes Quarter we were impressed by the size, quality and value of the properties on sale. With two young children, we were keen to find an affordable area that would also provide good schooling opportunities and nearby green spaces, for us to enjoy as a family. Our new home is right by Hogmoor Inclosure, which is an amazing natural resource.

“We were also impressed by the redevelopment proposals which include a new town centre, cinema and other exciting facilities. We purchased our new home with the use of the Help to Buy scheme, enabling us to buy a large family home that we can grow into over the coming years.”

This is a significant milestone in the regeneration of the former military barracks. Mr and Mrs Julier are the first of many residents to move into their new home on Dukes Quarter before the end of the year.

They are also the only owners of a new build home within the town, to benefit from operational high-speed fibre optic broadband from the day they moved into their home.

Natalie Belasco, Marketing Manager for the Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company, said: “This is an incredibly exciting stage in the redevelopment of Whitehill & Bordon. This moment has been years in the making and it’s very satisfying to see the first homeowners move in at Dukes Quarter.”

The regeneration of Prince Philip Park by the Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company, is a joint venture between Dorchester Regeneration and Taylor Wimpey. Dukes Quarter by Taylor Wimpey, is a collection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes.
