Deadwater Valley Trust To Host Family Christmas Activities in Whitehill & Bordon

A few words on Christmas from the Deadwater Valley Trust.

We begin with the return of our Tree Dressing event, running from the 4th of December all the way to Christmas Eve. Take a walk on any of our sites and find our specially chosen tree for the season then add your own decoration. You can make your own or add a shop bought decoration to the tree. Make a return trip as the event progresses to see how the decorations multiply and return at dusk to see the trees lit up for the evening. If you wish to collect your decoration afterwards please do so by the first week of January.

Our Bordon Inclosure ‘Carols At The King’ event returns this year. On Friday 17th December from 6pm make your way to the King Oak to join in with Christmas Carols by fairy light and then enjoy the festive cheer brought on by good company, mulled wine (the grown up kind and a special mix for children)  and mince pies by the fire. This year we will also be joined by Bluebird Story Teller for seasonal stories, there is no age limit on stories and sharing them by the fire at this time of year is even more special. Please book on to ensure that we have enough mulled wine adults price is £2 with children attending for free. Booking via [email protected].

The Hogmoor Inclosure will be the setting for our Solstice Winter Lights Walk. On Wednesday 21st December bring a torch from 5.30-7pm and make your way around the half mile trail of Christmas lights and crafts. Stop for a while on the trail and listen to Bluebird Storyteller tell stories of Yule and winter. No need to book and café Hogmoor will be open to warm you with a hot chocolate once you have finished.
