In July 2017, a new state of the art skate park replacing a previous facility, was officially opened…
..with the help of team GB Olympian, World and European BMX champion Liam Philips and Mayor Councillor Colin Leech. The new park is situated at the eastern corner of the junction of Oakhanger Road, Station Road and Budds Lane, and at a central point in the development.
Designed by skatepark-construction specialist Wheelscape in Bristol, plans for the skate park were drawn up following consultation with skaters in the town. The park offers a range of activities to skaters of all abilities, from grind ledges to a 6ft high mini-ramp.
There are no set opening hours for the park which is being run by Whitehill Town Council.
