We have received information about ‘National Fro

We have received information about ‘National Front’ stickers being stuck up in public and residential communal areas. None of these have been found in our public spaces, but please do remain vigilant when out with children or vulnerable individuals.

These stickers have a knife blade concealed underneath (picture below). We have been advised that this is linked to the ongoing civil unrest we are seeing across the UK.

Please cascade this information to anyone who may need to be aware, to ensure they are informed of the risks they pose.

Update on Our Euros Final Screening Plans

We're thrilled about the upcoming Euros Final and the electrifying atmosphere it promises for the whole Country. However, after much deliberation, we’ve decided not to show the match on the big screen on the Parade Square.

1. Championing Local Venues
Our town boasts some amazing spots that have gone all out to create the perfect viewing experience for the Euros Final. Places like the Forest Community Centre and The Pavilion at BOSC have invested significantly in screens, food and drink deals, and great environments. By shifting our plans, we’re supporting these local ventures and encouraging you to enjoy the game at all the fantastic venues the area offers.

2. Elevating the Experience at The Shed
We’re set on creating an incredible family-friendly atmosphere at The Shed Whitehill & Bordon. We believe that the big screen in The Shed, with a pre-match DJ, will offer a fantastic atmosphere for everyone to enjoy the game. By concentrating our efforts there, we can help ensure a lively, communal experience while also supporting local businesses. Spaces at The Shed are limited for safety reasons, so entry will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

3. Prioritising Safety First
Your safety is our top priority. With the Euros Final fast approaching, there isn’t enough time to implement the necessary safety measures that meet police and fire regulations. Hosting an event of this scale requires meticulous planning and coordination with local authorities to ensure that all safety protocols are thoroughly implemented. Without adequate time to prepare, we cannot guarantee the level of safety our community deserves.

4. Keeping the Peace
We love a good celebration, but we also respect our neighbours. Hosting a large-scale event on a Sunday evening could cause noise disruptions in the residential areas nearby. By taking this into account, we’re balancing the excitement of the match with the tranquillity our neighbours deserve.

Roving Health Check Truck Returns to The Shed.

What time? 9:30am - 3pm. No need to book!
Where? The Shed, Whitehill and Bordon

We are excited to announce that a roving Covid and Health Check truck will be returning to The Shed. This truck will provide support and education relating to vaccine hesitancy and concerns, raise awareness of all vaccination and screening programmes, offer blood pressure checks, smoking cessation advice, sexual health advice, weight management advice, women’s health and menopause advice, early cancer detection advice, and even social prescribing in some areas. Make sure to stop by The Shed on these dates to take advantage of these valuable resources and take a proactive approach to your health and wellbeing.
