Brand new facilities at Oakmoor School open for community use
Oakmoor School has opened its gates for community use of its brand new facilities. Many local clubs and organisations have already signed up to make use of the extensive facilities in this brand new, inspirational environment.
Headteacher Mr Hemmings said, “We are very excited about welcoming our wider community to benefit from our new school and are delighted to open our brand new facilities beyond the school day. The property is truly state of the art and we have wonderful spaces that are available for hire.”
The spaces include a large sports hall for group activities such as football, basketball and badminton. The dance studio includes a sprung floor, fully-mirrored wall and a ballet bar whilst the outside multi-use games area is suitable for netball, basketball and tennis. The floodlit astroturf pitch provides a superb space for football clubs to use, long into the dark winter evenings. The auditorium, when fully extended, seats up to 320 people and the stage area opens up to complete the full theatre experience for rehearsals and performances.
